More than a half of fatal accidents at the pedestrian crossing results from the fact that pedestrians are not careful. They often enter the pedestrian crossing and do not pay attention to approaching cars. Instead of looking around before they enter the road, pedestrians often focus on their mobile devices. This is why SmartPass smart crossing is equipped with a sound module whose task is to make sure pedestrians are more careful when crossing the street. The module emits sound signals to pedestrians when the foot traffic is detected in the crossing area.
How sound module works?
The sound module remains in the standby mode until the sound signal is activated by the detection module. The example of the message which can be emitted by SmartPass for the pedestrian is as follows: "be careful".
The message can be emitted in diverse frequency, e.g.: once per 5 seconds and recurring until the pedestrian leaves the crossing. When playing the sound message, the synchronized LED lights module is activated as well in order to raise the pedestrian's safety.
SmartPass allows playing many sound messages in an arranged order, e.g.: message 1, message 2, message 3 or message 3, message 2, message 1.
A wide range of possibilities of programming sound messages
The module lets you load new sound files in *.wav format and adjust their volume.
The administrator can set the range of hours for zones and any order of playing. This way it is possible to send messages for example only from 6am to 10 pm. The messages can be loaded via the Administration Portal at any time.
Broad possibilities for programming sound messages b>
The module allows you to upload new sound files in * .wav format and control their volume.
The administrator can set the hour range of zone playback and any playback sequences. It gives the possibility of sending messages, eg only from 6:00 to 22:00. Messages can be uploaded via the Portal at any time.
